How to Choose the Right Blade Width and TPI
Blade width affects how tightly the blade can turn, while TPI determines how coarse or fine the cut will be.
- Narrower blades are better for tighter curves and detailed work
- Wider blades are better for straighter cuts and resawing
- Lower TPI suits thicker timber and faster cutting
- Higher TPI suits thinner material and finer finishes
Always check your machine manual, existing blade markings or manufacturer specifications before ordering.
